Perspective with Watercolor

Create two drawings; a one-point perspective drawing and a two-point perspective drawing. The drawings should be set in different locations. After you are done, paint both with watercolors.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have a sense of place; where is your block located? (City, suburbs, shopping center, another planet?)

  • Have a clear light source. One side of the building will be darker than the other.

    Perspective

  • Lines need to be straight (use a ruler)

  • Windows and doors go towards the vanishing point(s)

  • Embellish buildings with details so viewers know what type of place you've created

    Painting

  • Sky has multiple values (ex: if you use blue have more than one blue or it can have multiple colors like a sunset)

  • No black - grey is okay

  • Finish by outlining with a pen
