Lesson Objective: Create a colored pencil drawing of a cupcake.

Step 1: Find an image of a cupcake to reproduce. If you want you can recreate the one I'm posting below.

Step 2: Start by doing a light contour sketch of the cupcake with a regular pencil. Remember to draw lightly because you'll be able to see the graphite through the colored pencil. Your cupcake needs to be large, think of a softball or a Costco muffin.
